Methods for removing stickers from glass:

  • Hot water and soap:
    • Wet the patch with warm, soapy water.
    • Wait a few minutes for the adhesive to begin to loosen.
    • Gently peel off the sticker.
    • If any glue residue remains, wipe it off with a damp cloth.
  • oil:
    • Apply oil (olive oil, vegetable oil, or mineral oil) to the sticker.
    • Wait a few minutes for the oil to soak into the sticker and dissolve the adhesive.
    • Gently peel off the sticker.
    • Wipe off the remaining oil with a dry cloth.
  • vinegar:
    • Dampen a cloth with white vinegar and rub the sticker.
    • The vinegar will help dissolve the glue.
    • Gently peel off the sticker.
    • Wipe away the vinegar residue with a damp cloth.
  • Hair dryer:
    • Set the hair dryer on the sticker for a few minutes on high heat.
    • The heat will melt the glue.
    • Gently peel off the sticker.
    • If there are still traces of glue left, apply oil or vinegar.
  • Medical alcohol:
    • Dampen a cloth with alcohol, rub the sticker.
    • Wait a few minutes for the alcohol to dissolve the glue.
    • Gently peel off the sticker, wipe with a damp cloth.
  • Commercial materials:
    • A dedicated sticker remover can be purchased at hardware stores.
    • Follow the manufacturer's instructions.
